The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Chief (Dr) Edward Onoja, on Friday, attended the burial service and internment of the Late Elder Arch. David Adekunle Atomode (JP).

The deceased, aged 70 years, was buried according to Christian rites in his country home of Kabba, Kogi State.

A reception for guests was held at the St Joseph Primary School Field, Kabba, where Chief Onoja described the Late Elder David Atomode as a dire lover of God whose uncommon virtues would be sorely missed.

He encouraged the bereaved Family to accept baba’s demise as the will of God and urged the gathering to take cognizance of the ephemerality of life as death remains the ultimate end for every human being.

He finally prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace.

The deceased is survived by his wife and children amongst whom is gospel minister and SSA to Governor Yahaya Bello on Administration, Kogi State Government House Chapel, Hon Benjamin Atomode (Lord Bishop).

Chief Onoja also paid a courtesy visit to the Obaro of Kabba, HRM, Oba Solomon Owoniyi.
