Chief Onoja Mourns Late Elder Statesman, Engr Joseph Makoju »

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja is saddened by the passing of former CEO/Group MD, Dangote Cement Company Limited, Late Engineer Joseph Makoju.

The former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Electric Power, Makoju, died at a private hospital in Abuja, on Monday, at the age of 73.

In a condolence message availed to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Promise Emmanuel, Chief Onoja described the late sage as an administrator of high ethics and impeccable standing. He testified of his intelligence, integrity, humility, sacrifice and his God fearing nature. He said the Late elder statesman was a burning torchbearer of Kogi State across political and economic frontiers, adding that he would be sorely missed by all and sundry.

While commiserating with the immediate family of the deceased, Chief Onoja prayed God Almighty to forgive his shortcomings and grant his family, friends, and associates, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
