Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja has eulogized the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon. Sunday Faleke as he marks his birthday, describing him as a ‘great character who is detribalised and down to earth’.

Onoja in his birthday message said he has known the celebrant for almost 15 years, and has justified his current position in the state through trust and hard work. He also affirmed that Faleke was an early and avid believer in the New Direction project, adding that the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State is a young man who has washed his hand very well indeed and has found a place at the table with elders.

He said; ‘Destiny is not an abstraction. Men make their destinies through their daily actions. For about 15 years that I have known Sunday Faleke, through the years he worked under me in the bank, he has been steadily but surely laying foundation for the position of trust and influence that he occupies in Kogi State today.

‘His Citation sports a quote that I consider an apt assessment of the man:

‘In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.’

Onoja attested that Sunday Faleke embody the attributes of trustworthiness, dedication, capacity, willingness to learn, eagerness to grow and generosity of spirit. He also described him as a team player who has the capacity to persevere, and is also charitable.

‘In a nutshell, Sunday is a great character who is detribalised and down to earth’. He said.

‘He is one of the few that I am truly proud to call Mentee, friend and brother.

‘Happy Birthday my aburo. May the Lord bless you, keep you, cause His Face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you’.
