Engr. JOS Commends Yahaya Bello’s Senate Bid, Describes Move as Response to People’s Call

Engr. Joseph Olusegun Stephen, popularly known as Engr. JOS, has commended the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for obtaining his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to contest the Kogi Central Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Monday, Engr. JOS described Bello’s decision as a response to the widespread calls by constituents, noting that it reflects a continued commitment to public service and the advancement of Kogi Central.

He said the former governor’s entry into the race goes beyond personal political ambition, characterising it as a demonstration of dedication, loyalty, and responsibility to the people of the state.

Engr. JOS further highlighted Bello’s record in office, citing interventions in security, education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and fiscal management as key achievements that have left a lasting impact on Kogi State’s development.

According to him, the growing support for Bello’s senatorial ambition underscores public confidence in his leadership capacity and ability to deliver effective representation at the National Assembly.

He described the former governor’s decision to contest as a reflection of humility and responsiveness to public demand, adding that it signals a determination to sustain developmental progress in the district.

“His decision to answer the call of the people reinforces the principle that leadership is rooted in service. It also offers reassurance of experienced and purposeful representation,” the statement read.

Engr. JOS expressed confidence that Bello’s executive experience and governance background would translate into effective legislative performance and stronger advocacy for the interests of Kogi Central.
