First lady, Speaker, APC governors canvass votes for Gov Bello’s reelection

First lady of Nigeria, Dr. Mrs Aishat Buhari has urged electorates in Kogi State to vote for the All Progressive’s Congress candidates at this Saturday’s guber and senatorial rerun election.

She made this known at the GYB/CEDO 2019 gubernatorial campaign grand finale held at the Confluence stadium, lokoja.

The first lady asserted that the governor has made modest achievements in security, infrastructures and has also resolved issues of civil servants salaries which has since be punctual in recent time.

National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole in his remarks affirmed that the governance of Yahaya Bello have strived to correct the mistakes past PDP Administration which included backlog of salaries of civil servants.

He pointed out that Kogi was better than it was four years back noting that a vote for the party’s candidate was a vote for peace and unity.
The Party chairman similarly canvassed for Senator Smart Adeyemi at the Kogi West rerun election mentioning that the country and kogi people deserved responsible representation at the red chamber.

Also at the event was Governor of Kaduna and Chairman APC National Campaign Council, for GYB/CEDO gubernatorial campaign, mallam Nasiru El rufai who boasted that Saturday’s election would be the final burial of dead PDP in Kogi State.

El rufai affirmed that the opposition party in their days in power did nothing in the state. He said Bello has resolved the problem of salary payment which he inherited and have dotted developmental projects in various parts of the state.

He also called on the people of Kogi western senatorial district to vote for the party’s candidate in the national assembly election slated to hold on the same day, saying it is an opportunity to chose between seriousness and foolishness.

Other dignitaries who also added their supporting voices were Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister for State, FCT Hajiya Ramatu Tijani as they called for a peaceful conduct of the polls and ensuring that the governor emerges victorious.

The Deputy Governorship candidate, Chief Edward Onoja said the Saturday’s election is a contest between the new and the older order. He called on the people, especially the youths to team up and prove to the world that the new order has come to stay.

Governor Bello in his own address assured that the party was scaling to victory at the gubernatorial and Kogi West senatorial rerun this Saturday.

He said, on the 17th of November when the president will be returning from his private visit from London, we want him to come and witness new dawn that his son has been re-elected in Kogi State.
“We came and met Kogi State heavily divided a lot of ethnic issues but today it is a thing of the past.

“We were able to unite Kogi State, no more ethnic agenda, what we have is the Kogi agenda.

“We will not allow anybody that is planning any ethnic agenda or those that brought us to where we are and we are trying to get out of it to succeed in taking us back. Dust your PVCs, go to your polling units, be orderly and cast your votes for APC.

“Do not be intimidated, let’s show to them that we come in peace, but we mean real business”. the governor said.
