Kogi decides: Mrs Onoja votes in Egume, urges electorate to be peaceful »

Wife of the Kogi State, Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja has just voted in the ongoing gubernatorial election for the candidate of her choice, with a call on the electorate to maintain law and order.

Mrs Onoja who voted at Barrack 01 polling unit in her country home at Egume, Dekina Local Government Area at about 9:21 am, said violence and disturbance of peace should be avoided in the interest of every citizen.

She commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the seamless process put in place on simultaneous conduct of accreditation and voting processes.

So far, the conduct of the exercise in Egume has been peaceful and orderly and unlike in the past when voters get accredited and return at a later time for voting proper, voters are now able to cast their votes the moment they get accredited, simultaneously.
