Governor Bello, Kogi APC leaders, others witness party leader – Linco Ocheje’s burial, pray for peaceful repose of his soul

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello joined a large crowd that converged on Inyologu Ogoba in Ojoku District of Ankpa Local Government Area to pay their last respects to late Alhaji Ibrahim Linco Ocheje, an All Progressives Congress (APC) party stalwart who was laid to rest today in his ancestral home.

The Governor who led other party stalwarts and government officials to the burial ceremony described the demise of late Alhaji Linco as a great loss to the state and Nigeria at large considering his wealth of knowledge.

Governor Bello noted that the APC political father in Kogi State who died when was needed the most would be remembered for all his sacrifices and contributions to the progress of the party and the development of Kogi State.

He consoled the family of the deceased by urging them to take solace in the legacy the late political leader left behind.

While praying to God repose the soul of late party stalwart, he commiserated with his family and prayed God to give them and the entire state the fortitude to bear the loss.

Late Ibrahim Linco, who passed on at the age of 69 after a brief illness was the chairman of the party’s Elders Advisory Council in the eastern senatorial district.

Also present at the burial were the senators representating Kogi East and Central districts, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho and Yakubu Oseni; the junior bminister for Labour and Productivity, Professor Steven Ocheni; APC state chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engineer Abubakar Ohere; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja and other top government functionaries.
