Fanwo Celebrates Yomi Awoniyi at 66, Hails Him as an “Enigma”, Model of Excellence
It is an honour to share the same Local Government with His Excellency, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, a mentor, a leader and a peacemaker.
One of the things I respect most about Arc. Yomi Awoniyi is his intellectual acumen. He is brilliant, and I have great respect for people who are sound. He is a good listener, an articulate speaker and a peaceful disciplinarian.
Today, as you mark your 66th birthday, sir, I thank God for His faithfulness over your life. With the kind of father God blessed you with, you could have easily chosen to depend solely on your father’s name. Instead, you chose hard work, industry and excellence, building on that great name and making it shine even brighter.
It is a huge responsibility to carry the legacy of Awoniyi. You have carried it with honour, dignity and excellence.
But when will you slow down, sir? I called you one morning and you were busy working in the office. You later called back to tell me how busy you were. You are teaching all of us in politics that public service also demands professionalism, hard work and a willingness to depend on our own hands.
I celebrate you, my leader. You are an excellent soul, sir, and you have my respect forever.
Happy 66th birthday to the quintessential Arc. Yomi Awoniyi. May God grant you long life, good health and many more years of meaningful service. May you continue to touch lives and warm our hearts with your impact.
