Olamaboro LG Workers Receive Workplace Security Campaign Team, Commend Gov. Ododo, SA Labour

Workers in Olamaboro Local Government Area on Wednesday turned out in their numbers to receive the Workplace Security Campaign team, led by the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka.

The workers who were dressed in their special attires and union by union were full of joy as they sang solidarity and cultural songs, in what they described as Ododo and Edoka their own.

Receiving the team on behalf of the local government chairman, the Director of Personnel Management, Mr Ojile Gabriel said the visit was home coming and commended the Special Adviser for being a worthy ambassador of the area.

According to Mr Ojile, there was no need for a campaign for the Governor’s re-election in the area in view of the achievements on ground, emphasizing that he has brought smiles to the faces of workers.

Also speaking, the Chairman of NUT in Olamaboro, Comrade James Agidike described the Governor’s attention to workers welfare as a departure from the past, stressing that there was a need for continuity of both the Governor and Mr President.

While presenting his speech, the former State President of NULGE and serving member of Kogi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Comrade Tom Abutu emphasized that the message was that of brighter hope and that of consolidation.

Comrade Tom Abutu appreciated the warm reception of the workers which he noted indicated their love and acceptance of the Ododo led administration in Kogi State, urging them not to relent.

In his presentation, the leader of the team and Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka said the visit was to tell the workers the need to be security conscious, both at workplace and beyond, as well as the security of their jobs.

Comrade Edoka urged the workers to see the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ododo as a necessity in order to guarantee their wellbeing.
