The Kogi State commissioner, Ministry of Water resources, Hon. (Dr.) Abdulmumin Danga has declared open, the Presentation of Sector review analysis findings for preparation of water supply and sanitation master investment plan in kogi state at the conference hall of the Ministry of water resources, Kogi State in Lojoka.

Representative of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources Engr. Kasim Muhammed Nafiu, along with Consultant, Dr. Lynda Akpami in their separate address appreciated Kogi State government for the proactive measures in providing portable water Supply to the citizens.

They emphasized that the Federal Ministry of Water resources through the federal government in collaboration with Kogi State Ministry of water resources prepared an investment plan for the provisions of water supply and the major objective of the project is to provide sustainable access to safe drinking Water and Sanitation, to strengthen Federal government’s capacity to reform the urban water supply and sanitation sector and also improve service delivery across the country.

The General Manager, Kogi State Water board Engr. Shagir Abdulsalam in his remarks appreciated the team for giving Kogi State the privilege to provide the datas needed for the provisions of water, he emphasized that there are more datas needed to be provided stressing the need for more logistics to generate the data while looking forward to implement the action plans for the provisions of portable water supply and Sanitation in Kogi State.

Declaring the presentation open, Hon. Danga appreciated the Federal government and the Federal Ministry of Water Resources for counting Kogi State among the beneficiaries.

Hon. Danga emphasized that Kogi State government under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is leaving no stone unturned in delivering the dividend of democracy, he emphasized that GYB placed provisions of portable water supply as a top priority in New Direction blueprint.

Hon. Danga reiterate that water is the most critical resources or issues of lifetime and it’s sacred to all human beings, animals and plants.

Present at the presentation are the Permanent Secretary, ministry of water resources Mr. Akor, Director PRS Mr. John Aiyesimi, DAF Mr. Olawole Ministry of Water resources and Alh. Dowood Director of Admin, Mr.Umar Audu Director of Services Kogi State Water Board respectively.
