The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Kogi State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on youths to embrace peace, discipline, and productive engagement for the development of society.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message issued on Tuesday, the commissioner described the Islamic festival as a period of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and devotion to Almighty Allah, stressing that the celebration reflects the virtues exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

Anyebe noted that Eid-el-Kabir serves as a reminder of the need for selflessness, tolerance, unity, and compassion among citizens, urging residents of the state to continue to promote peaceful coexistence and support for the less privileged.

He particularly encouraged young people across the state to remain law-abiding and actively contribute to the growth and progress of Kogi State through positive and meaningful activities.

According to him, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development remains committed to policies and programmes that will empower youths and promote sports development as instruments for unity and social advancement.

The commissioner also commended the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what he described as its commitment to youth inclusion, peace, and sustainable development across the state.

He further called on the people of Kogi State to use the festive period to pray for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in the state and the country at large.

Anyebe prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the sacrifices and prayers of the faithful and bless every home with joy, good health, and abundant blessings as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
