'I am prepared to give my best as COS'

The newly appointed Chief of Staff to the governor of Kogi State, pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku has said that he is prepared to take on the onerous task of administering his new office for the continued success of his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Chief of Staff gave this assurance in a message of appreciation made available to newsmen yesterday in Lokoja.

He said the appointment was a huge responsibility, but thanked the governor for finding him worthy for the task and promised to discharge his duties with diligence.

He appreciated his family members and supporters for their understanding and support all through his tenure as Director General, protocol to the governor, and promised not to disappoint them in his new assignment.

His words; “My profound gratitude to God Almighty for the privilege to be appointed as the Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. I thank His Excellency for finding me worthy to serve in this very important position.

“This appointment is indeed a huge responsibility and I am prepared to give it my best for the continued success of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration.

“My appreciation also goes to my parents and my wives who have been hugely supportive with relentless prayers, understanding and patience since my political sojourn. May Almighty Allah continue to keep all of us together alive in good health to reap the dividends of your efforts and invaluable sacrifices. Ameen.

And to my colleagues and friends in the New Direction administration: I am saying a very big thank you for your concerns, counsel and ceaseless support that saw me through my service as the Director General Protocol.

Words are not enough to appreciate my supporters both at the grassroots and on the social media. Specifically, I wish to recognize the good people of my constituency, and particularly the Bariki ward in Okene Local Government where I hail from, as well as the leadership of all my support groups across the length and breadth of the state. I have no doubt that you will replicate the support you gave me during my time as DG Protocol even in a bigger dimension.

May Allah continue to keep us together to make our dear state an envy of others”.
