Independence Day: Onoja donates to patients at specialists’ hospital, FMC
Chief Edward Onoja, today, donated cash and other items to patients on admission at the state specialists’ hospital and the federal medical center in Lokoja.
The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor made the donation when he paid an independence day visit to sick people undergoing treatment at the hospitals as a show of solidarity.
He said whilst the nation rejoice on this historic day, we shouldn’t forget that there are many of our citizens who are laying on hospital beds across the country and are enduring different kinds of discomforts due to one sickness or the other. “We should use this occasion and many others to reach out to them in love. This is how we spread love and rekindle hope for the country”. He said.
Onoja who was in company of friends and colleagues in government, thanked ‘CEDO NATION’ support group for the support.
He appreciated his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello for implementing policies that has helped in catering to some financial and medical needs of patients especially those in maternity, saying that the policies have indeed eased the burden on those set of patients in the specialist hospital.
Douglas Isah, a staff of the federal medical center revealed that he conducted the Chief of Staff round to paediatric, maternity, medical and surgical wards where he greeted the patients and donated a token amount to them. He said Onoja also promised to see to the cases of some patients with severe conditions that requires special attention.
