Jubilation as David Zacharias doles out tricycles, motorcycles, other items to constituents

The member representing Idah federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon. David Zacharias on Saturday, December 21st, doled out several tricycles, motorcycles, grinding machines and other items to members of his constituency.

The items were presented to the beneficiaries at Ajule in Ofu local government area of Kogi State, while the beneficiaries were drawn from all the local governments that made up Idah federal constituency.

Present at the event was the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja.

Honorable Zacharias said the gesture was to appreciate the people for their massive support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also said the mandate given to him to represent the people at the green chambers was to provide quality legislation and attract dividends of democracy to the his people, a task that he said he was totally committed to.

He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja for giving him the platform to serve the people, and called on his constituents to continue in their support for the government of the state as it is committed to the overall development of the state.

Speaking, Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Ejura Mercy Onoja appreciated the member for providing quality leadership to his constituents, saying that it was what the New Direction government of Yahaya Bello represents.

She said gone were the days when representatives would abandon their constituency after election, revealing that the new set of leaders in Kogi East were people who value development and are united in their resolve to alleviate the suffering of the people at the grassroots.

She urged beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment to better the lives of themselves and their families.

The event saw in attendance the APC zonal chairman, Hon. Ahmed Attah, local government administrators and party bigwigs from Kogi East.
