KGSG condoles family of deceased APC women leader for Ofu, promises to support dependants as deputy governor attends Fida’u prayer

Kogi State Government has condoled the family of the recently deceased APC women leader for Ofu Local Government Area, Hajiya Asibi Yusuf who died last week in an ailment.

The deputy governor, Chief Edward Onoja who represented the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello at the occasion regretted the death, describing it as a loss to the state and the country, and not only her community or Ofu APC alone.

He praised her dedication to the party when she was alive, noting that her death was a huge loss that would take the party and the state government time to recover from.

Governor Bello said death was inevitable as every mortal was bound to taste it, but prayed God to distance the family and their loved ones from experiencing any such sad event, even as he prayed Allah to grant the deceased Jannatul – Firdaus.

He used the occasion to promise the determination of Kogi State government to extend necessary support to the family especially the children left behind by Hajiya Asibi Yusuf.

Speaking, the APC zonal leader in Kogi East, Hon Ahmed Attah who also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased, described her as a true party woman who was passionate about the party and gave her all until her death.

He said she had been a member of the party throughout her political life, recalling how she stood by the party during the time of Late Kogi State Political Icon, Prince Abubakar Audu.

Hon Ahmed then promised the preparedness of the party’s hierarchy in Kogi East to extend necessary support to the family because she was the pillar of the family whilst alive.

Other speakers at the occasion also extolled the virtues of the deceased APC women leader as religious leaders led by the Chief Imam of Alloma Central Mosque, Mallam Tijani Okama prayed Allah grant her peaceful rest.

The 8th day prayer attracted political and religious leaders from all parts of Igalaland including the member representing Ofu State constituency at the State House of Assembly; the administrator of Ofu Local Government Area; Commissioners and other government and other political associates of of the deceased.
