KGSG holds inter-denominational service, prays for state, gov Bello’s succesful second term

Kogi State Government on Sunday held a special inter-denominational as clergymen and other top government officials offered prayers for state and the administration’s successful second term

The event held at the recently completed Kogi State Government House Chapel, Lokoja.

Speaking at the event, kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja affirmed that the yoke of 28 years have been totally broken in the State.

He asserted that the God was now domiciled permanently in helms of affairs of the State amd wherever God reside goodness would be the order of the day.

The Deputy Governor stated that any good thing that have been witnessed in the last 28years was incomparable to the great things to come in the next four years in the state.

Reading from the story of the centurion in the bible he said his act of building a place of worship qualified him for a visitation by Jesus and a miracle of healing for his servant.

He compared Governor Bello to the Centurion noting that God was always delighted with people of great faith and kind gesture.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Ayoade Folashade Arike in her opening remarks noted that it was God’s desire for the governor and deputy to have won the November 16 gubernatorial elections

She noted that the gathering was meant to give thanks to God for the journey so far, nothing that prayers should be made for the governments second term

She noted that great vista lied ahead of the state and the people as the New Direction Government would make great strides in the second term of its administration.

In his charge the Kogi State CAN chairman Bishop John Ibenu, noted that it was important that fervent prayers were made for the confluence state and the leadership who would be sworn in.

Several prayer sessions were at the event made towards the peace, unity and progress of the State and its people as clergy declared that the New Direction’s second term would bring everlasting peace to Kogi State.

Other highlights included special thanksgiving over the succesfull completion of the administration’s first term and the beginning of a new era.
