Inauguration: Kogi NYCN Coordinators Forum Congratulates Gov Bello, Chief Onoja »

As the people of Kogi State get set to usher a fresh term for Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, the Coordinators Forum of National Youth Council of Nigeria under the leadership of Comrade Obas Adesina has congratulated the the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja and the citizens.

A press release signed by the Director of Media and Publicity to the forum, Yabagi Mohammed expressed the forum’s joy over the success of the government in the last election and the inauguration that is underway.

According to the release, the forum is glad to be associated with the dynamic, people – focused, pragmatic and prudent system employed by the administration, stressing that it has helped in moving the state forward.

The statement highlighted reasons the youth of the state from all parts rallied around for the Governor’s re – election, maintaining that the government has put their welfare high on its priority policies.

“Kogi State became a reference point for youth inclusion in governance in the last four years because of the current administration’s deliberate decision to take care of their needs. The youth are now leaders of today and not tomorrow because they have been given a sense of belonging to participate in everyday decisionns for the betterment of citizens.

“It is no longer about the old thinking for the young ones, it is now about them thinking for themselves because those in power are contemporaries they can approach easily and sell ideas on governance to. It is indeed unprecedented in the 28 years history of the state.”

Comrade Adesina enjoined the people, especially the youth to continue to rally round the government to enjoy more dividends of democracy even as he promised to use his short stay in office to ensure further consolidation of the relationship between them and the state government.
