KGSG receives CCB delegation, assures of global best practices in administering government programs

Kogi State Government has assured that it will continue to adopt global best practices in implementing all policies, especially those by the federal government.

Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Edward Onoja made this known on Thursday afternoon when he received a delegation from the Code of Conduct Bureau in his office in Lokoja.

Onoja said Governor Yahaya Bello places premium on the rule of law, and has consistently reminded public officers to always abide by the rules and regulations as enshrined in the public conduct books.

He said Kogi State has benefited from all Social Investment Programs of the Federal Government, and as such, remained grateful to President Buhari for the initiatives.

The Deputy Governor appreciated the team for their professionalism and assured them of adequate security during their stay in the state.

Earlier, leader of the team, Elder Ubolo Itodo Okpanachi, said the team which comprised of Federal Commisioners from some North Central states and other officers were in the state to carry out routine checks, in order to ensure that public officers in the federation carry out their duties according to the code of conduct for public service.

The team who had earlier visited the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, later paid a visit to the SIP office in the state, and added that they had an impressive meeting with the state SIP team.
