Kogi @32: NYCN Acting Chair, Osiako Salutes GYB, youths, expresses optimism
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter, has expressed optimism in the sustained growth and development of Kogi State, as he urged the citizens, especially Youths to remain united and commited to the Kogi Agenda.
Acting Chairman of the council, Comr. Osiako Sunday made this known in a statement he personally signed to mark the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Kogi State made available to journalists in Lokoja , Sunday.
Osiako said “The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter warmly congratulates Governor Yahaya Bello, the New Direction government and the good people of Kogi State, particularly the Youths as the start marks it’s creation anniversary”.
He said at 32nd, Kogi State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello remains a blessed and prospering state, stressing that with multiple tribes, rich mineral resources, talented and energetic millions of youths, the state is certainly on the parth of greatness. He explained that the anniversary doesn’t only remind of the sacrifices made by those who struggled for the creation of the state, but it also avails the opportunity to asses current situation especially as the state prepares for another governorship election.
Comr. Osiako commended Governor Yahaya Bello for providing quality leadership and for engaging young people in steering the affairs of state, adding that the efforts and innovations of youths along with the huge sense of belonging are largely responsible for the giant development strides recorded to the governor’s name.
The youth leader who acknowledged the enormous challenges still being confronted by the state in attaining full potentials, however urged young people to continue in their support for the New Direction government as it strives to surmount the challenges and deliver dividends of democracy to all.
“It is important for all of us to join hands to entrench good governance, foster inclusive economic development, and protect our state from those who wish to divide us with their selfish interests.
“I commends the resilience and doggedness of Kogi youths and urge us to continue to pray and support all leaders for the development of the state.
