PAAU Senate Approves 2025/2026 Results, Graduates 44 First-Class Students

The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the results of the 2025/2026 second semester examinations, with 44 students graduating with First-Class Honours, while 56 others were withdrawn and one student expelled for gross examination misconduct.

The decisions were taken at the university’s 168th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, following consideration of the second-semester examination results across faculties and departments.

The PAAU Senate approved the 44 First-Class graduands after considering the report of the Results Verification Committee on the academic performance and standing of students across the university.

The First-Class graduates cut across several disciplines, including Forestry, Physiology, Economics, Biochemistry, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Public Administration and Computer Science.

Among the First-Class graduates are Adalumo Samuel Tunde of Agricultural Economics and Extension; Ismaila Kebir Eleojo, Ismaila Jemilat Esther, Adaji Mary Ajumi, Ekele Akoji, Ayodele Esther Favour, Daniel Emmanuel, Adama Favour Ojochegbe and Adeoye Oluwapelumi Shalom of Forestry.

Others include Ogwu Gloria Uyo and Aji Ojonoka Abodia of Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences; Tijani Usman of Computer Science; Jonah Godspower Unekwuojo, Abubakar Fatimah Ahmed, Eneji­yon Zainab Ize, Omata Peter Ugbedeojo, Emmanuel John Jeremiah and Yahaya Mamunat Sule of Physiology.

The PAAU Senate also approved the withdrawal of 56 students for various academic deficiencies in accordance with the university’s Academic Regulations.
Eleven students were withdrawn for poor academic performance, while 38 were withdrawn for failure to register for two consecutive semesters. Another seven students were withdrawn for failed modules or course deficiencies.

The 11 students withdrawn for poor academic performance include Muhammed Nafiu, Alidu Hassan, Muhammed Lawal, Udeh Miracle Ojochegbe, Usman Abdulsamad, Tairu Aliyu Ogwuba, Emeka Dorcas Enyo-Ojo, Mohammed Aminu, Enejo Salisu, Edicha Aisha and Onoja Raymond Abah.

The 38 students withdrawn for failure to register for two consecutive semesters were drawn from programmes including Arts Education, Accounting, Physics, Forestry and Wildlife, Theatre Arts, Law, Animal Production, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Social Science Education, Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences, Animal and Environmental Biology and Anatomy.

Seven students from Medical Laboratory Science were also withdrawn over failed modules or course deficiencies. They are Destiny Ojone Akwu, Sediq Ayuba, Ochijenu Ojochide Favour, Bethel Ojonuma Samuel, Shadrach Emmanuel, Ibrahim Hamtila and Christopher Ojimaojo Omale.

In a related development, the PAAU Senate approved the expulsion of Jude Ojoajogwu Itodo, with matriculation number 26PL1068, of the Department of Plant Sciences and Biotechnology, following consideration of a report by the Examination Misconduct Committee.

The student was expelled over a case of gross examination misconduct after Senate considered the findings and recommendations of the committee.

The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, commended members of the Results Verification Committee and Examination Misconduct Committee for what he described as their diligence, objectivity and commitment to maintaining the university’s academic standards.

Prof. Usman congratulated the 44 First-Class graduands for their academic performance and urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the university.

He also encouraged other students to draw inspiration from the achievement of the First-Class graduates, stressing the importance of focus, discipline and consistent effort in attaining academic excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the commitment of the Senate and university management to academic excellence, discipline and quality assurance.

He said the university would continue to provide a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research, while students were expected to remain committed to their studies and comply with the institution’s academic regulations.

The PAAU Senate further congratulated students who performed well in the newly approved results and urged continuing students to remain focused and make effective use of the university’s academic environment.

Meanwhile, the withdrawn and expelled students were directed to surrender all university property in their possession, including identity cards and other official items, to the Security Unit before leaving the institution.
