Kogi Central NYCN forum lauds Governor Bello on Science tech varsity
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Forum of Coordinators in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State has commended Governor Yahaya Bello over his decision to build a new University of Science and Technology in the state.
The proposed University which is to be located in Osara in Adavi Local Government Area, the Forum said, would no doubt go a long way in attracting development to the area and improve the educational standard of the entire state.
The forum Chairman, Comrade Isah Onimisi Babangida, who signed the statement stressed that the intention of government for the institution was a step in the right direction, noting that it was overdue.
While describing science and technology as drivers of global economy, the forum enjoined people of the state to give necessary support for government’s vision to be actuslised.
Comrade Babangida, who was again full of praise for the Governor for his love for education, stated that the social and economic advantage of sighting such institution was much and that posterity would judge Governor Bello kindly.
“We have a Governor that is no doubt committed to the overall development of the state and not just a part of the state to the detriment of others. Education is a leveler for all men irrespective of the social and economic standing in the society.
“The place of science and technology cannot be understated. It is the driver of human socialisation globally. The youth of Kogi Central and the entire state are very proud of the administration. He (the Governor) has again shown he is youthful and useful,” he stressed.
He prayed God to continue to grant the Governor wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state, even as he enjoined the Governor to continue to make the youth demographic a central part of his administration.
