Kogi Commissioner orders special prayers for Gov Bello during Eid – el – Fitr

Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Muhammed said the Eid – el – Fitr was a period to cap the supplications offered during the Holy Month of Ramadan, hence his decision to solicit special prayers for Governor Yahaya Bello.

Engr Bashir was speaking shortly after the prayer session following the observance of the two – rakat Eid superogatory prayer in Kogi Local Government Area.

He said the administration has a divine touch in all ramifications owing to the extraordinary favours it has continued to enjoy from people of the state and overcoming many adversities.

The Commissioner who described Governor Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja as people who believe in the predestination of events, said their faith has kept Kogi State afloat since inception of the government.

Engr Bashir who called on Kogi people, especially the Muslim Ummah, to continue to pray for progress and growth under the leadership of Governor Bello, said he would always ask religious leaders to remember the administration in special prayers.

While also praying for continued peace and development, he expressed his commitment to ensuring the state government realised its objective of taking the state to the next level.

The commissioner expressed confidence in the administration to bring about socioeconomic and infrastructural turnaround for the state before 2024.
