KGSG assures of commitment to improve health sector

The Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka has expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the Central Referral Hospital Okene and the ultral modern specialist hospital at Ajaokuta which to him will alleviate the suffering of the people.

The commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Audu Haruna said this during the inspection visit to the sites at Ajaokuta and Okene on Wednesday.

He explained that the hospitals when fully operational will go a long way to improve the health condition of the people and also provide employment opportunities for the teaming youth both at home and in the diaspora.
According to him the State Government has commerced the deployment of medical equipment and is going to be the first of it’s kind in the country, noting that about five of the referral Hospitals will be replicated in other health centers of the State.

At Ajaokuta Ultra Modern General Hospital Eanyi, the Commissioner charged the contractors handling the site to ensure speedy work and advised the host community to cooperate with the Contractors for a good job.
While highlighting the commitment of the State Ministry of Health to ensure that the project meets the required standard.

The Project Manager Mr Ahmed Saadi commended the State Government for the giant stride and promised to ensure that the project when completed will impact positively on the people in terms of advanced medical services
Expressing her joy.

A resident of Eganyi, Mrs Jimoh Fati commended the State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the gesture.
