Kogi Gov’s CoS, Onoja thanks Bello, APC nod to deputize for November Guber as Lokoja/KKF stages solidarity walk
Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja has confirmed his nomination as deputy governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the November governorship poll for the state.
He gave the confirmation today, Monday, during a walk in solidarity with the news organised by APC leadership in Lokoja/Kogi (Kotonkarfe) federal constituency even as he used the occasion to express his gratitude for the opportunity.
The Chief of Staff pointed out at the event which took party supporters round several parts of Lokoja the Kogi State capital that God removed power from those who had turned the state into family affairs in 2015 and gave it to a man whom He raised by Himself.
He said as it stood, God had affirmed the candidacy of Governor Yahaya Bello with the landslide victory at the party primary which culminated in his choice as his running mate.
Hon Onoja therefore thanked the people whom he affirmed have signified their readiness for victory in the election, stating that as the constituency that houses the capital of the state, others would always follow their example.
He assured party leaders and stakeholders of his continued support for Governor Yahaya Bello, noting that he was the definition of the New Nigeria of citizens’ dreams.
The convener of the walk who is also a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters, Honourable Jimoh Tiamiyu revealed that the walk was an expression of gratitude by party stakeholders over the recent victory of Governor Bello at the Primaries.
He similarly noted that it was a time to thank the Governor for the nomination of his Chief of Staff as his running mate, a move he said they were in support of.
The SSA noted that the Lokoja APC were fully ready to ensure an hitch free outing in the November election over any opponent brought forward, boasting that the party would coast to victory with a landslide victory.
The APC Chairman, Lokoja Local Government, Honourable Bature Maikudi also affirmed that the people of his constituency would vote massively for Governor Bello owing to the tremendous work he has achieved in the last three and half years of his government.
