LG Secretary Commends Hon Amoka Odu for Improved Security in Okehi LG
Okehi Local Government Area Secretary, Hon. Matthew James Omeiza has commended the Hon. Amoka Monday Eneji’s (ODU) administration for improving the security situation in the local Government and lending a helping hand to other local governments in Kogi central.
The Council scribe of Okehi who spoke to newsmen in his office yesterday immediately after the flag-off of the 3rd tranche of palliatives in the local Government commended the Chairman for his proactive measures put in place to fight crimes in the local government and Kogi Central by extension. He went further to speak on the unity of the caretaker Chairmen from Kogi central who rallied round to make sure the students abducted were returned back to their parents.
As a result of improvement in the security situation, our citizens gained more access to their farmlands this year and are now harvesting their crops without fear or hindrance by the insurgents.
“Okehi Local Government on its part, in collaboration with Kogi State Government under His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, has made available all the needs of our farmers which consequently contributed to the bumper farming across the State immediately the rain dropped,” Mr Matthew said.
He called on all sons and daughters of Anokehi to join hand with the Council caretaker Chairman to fight any crime at all time for the peace of the land.
