Lokoja Inferno: POHAN Visits Kogi Poly Rector, commiserate with Gov’t, people of Kogi State

Headquarters of the Umbrella organization for Former and Serving Public Office Holders under the aegis of Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria (POHAN) has commiserated with the Government and People of Kogi State over the unfortunate inferno that took place in Lokoja, the State capital today, 23rd September, 2020.

The National President of the POHAN, Bashorun MD Eseyin who led the State Chapter of POHAN on a visit to sympathize with Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja described the incident as very unfortunate and disheartening.

While expressing worry over those who lost their lives, the Association extended its sympathy to their family and loved ones. In the words of the President “while we empathize with associates of those who lost their lives, we equally extend our goodwill message to those who lost valuable properties , and pray that God replace your losses with greater valuables”

The body called on the Federal Government and Kogi State to find a sustainable solution to the reccuring ugly incidence that has been recorded in multiple counts for years.

“As we mourn those who lost their lives and count our losses, we also want to urge the government to critically look into this reccuring incidence and provide a sustainable measure to ensure maximum control in case of future occurence” the National President concluded.
