Muslims in Ogugu Hails Edward Onoja over support for community

Muslim Ummah in Ogugu, Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State today paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Edward Onoja at his county home in Ogugu to mark the Eid and also to appreciate him for his numerous support to Muslims in the area.

Alh. Kekere Yakubu who delivered the message from the Imam said that Hon. Edward Onoja, despite being a Christian, has been a good friend of the Muslims and have shown unequaled concern for the welfare of Muslims in the area. They thanked him specifically for the support received during the Ramadan and Sallah celebration.

The group also extended their gratitude to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his purposeful leadership, and assured the government of their unalloyed support.

“The government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has brought us undeniable goodwill and we can not thank him enough. We will continue to pray for Allah’s protection over him and assure him of our total support for his administration and his reelection bid”.

Reacting, the Chief of Staff thanked the Muslim community for their continued support and for sustaining the existing harmonious relationship that among faithfuls in the area.

He called on the people to continue in their prayers for the peace of Kogi State and the success of Governor Yahaya Bello. Promising that the government will continue to do its best in delivering the dividends of good governance to all.
