“National Integration Critical To Achieving Unity, Peace” – Gov. Bello
…assures 2023 will produce next generation of leaders
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has reiterated that National integration remained critical for Nigeria as a nation to achieve unity, peace and the desired developments
The Governor made this known on Saturday while receiving a delegation of Ex internationals who paid him a courtesy visit and also presented an award to him as the “Captain and Pillar of the Nigerian youths” in recognition of his vast youth advocacy and involvement in governance.
Governor Bello also assured that the year 2023 would produce the next generation of leaders in the country noting that the youth were ready to take over the mantle of leadership.
Governor Bello lauded the Ex Internationals for their dedicated and selfless services to the nation asserting that they during their days promoted love, unity as a result of their winning streaks and also because there were no concerns of ethnicity, religion or class differentiation.
The Governor noted that Nigeria as country would have been able to compete with the developed countries on several basis if such momentum was sustained but rather the country have not gotten it rightly
He asserted that the spirit of unity and harmonious co existence without concerns on ethnicity, religion or social strata was needed in the country as a panacea against continued rivalry and suspicions between different regions of the nation an attitude which he affirmed has held the nation backwards.
Governor Bello opined that he looked forward to a Nation united under one leader where ethnicity, religious difference or social strata would not be a barrier to accessing opportunities but equity, fairness and justice would prevail at all times.
He urged the youth to unite together under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, noting that such opportunity to form a formidable force and voice was being provided under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari hence they must grab it with earnest desire.
The Governor added that it was becoming more obvious to the Older generations that their time was up and irrespective of the challenges such giant stride would bring, the youths would overcome.
Presenting the award to the Governor Bello the leader of the delegations and former Nigerian Super Eagle star Austin Eguavoen applauded the governor for his developmental strides in all sector of economy particularly in kogi state
Eguavoen Maintained that Ex internationale Nigerian footballers have resolved to work closely with the kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello to achieve a more greater heights in politics as he deserves more support from the people of the state and Nigerians at Large.
Among the delegations were, Austin JJ Okocha, Tijani Babangida, Garba Lawal, Taribo West, Victor Agali and Ifeanyi Udeze.
