Three Kogi Indigenes Emerge Awardees at 7th Nigeria Young Minds Impact Award

Three indigenes of Kogi State have been selected for recognition at the 7th edition of the Nigeria Young Minds Impact Award (NYMIA) for their contributions to youth development, leadership and entrepreneurship.

The awardees are Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Kogi State; Hon. Cosmas Atabor, Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area; and Mr. Bidemi Olorukooba, Chief Executive Officer of Dukutrah Nigeria Limited and a fish farmer.

The award ceremony is scheduled to hold on September 9, 2026, at the Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The organisers said the recognition is aimed at celebrating individuals whose work has contributed to youth empowerment, community development, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Anyebe Aridaojo, in his capacity as Commissioner for Youth and Sports, is among those recognised, alongside Atabor, who heads Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area.

Olorukooba, the Chief Executive Officer of Dukutrah Nigeria Limited, was also selected for his contributions in entrepreneurship and fish farming.

The 7th edition of the Nigeria Young Minds Impact Award is expected to attract distinguished personalities, young leaders and other stakeholders as recipients and participants gather to celebrate excellence, innovation and positive contributions to society.

The recognition places the three Kogi indigenes among personalities being acknowledged at the event for their respective contributions to development and youth-related initiatives.
