NYCN laud Gov. Bello on recent appointment to Council members »

The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter, Ambassador Usman Ogohi has lauded Kogi Government under governor Yahaya Bello on the recent appointment enjoyed by members of the Council.

Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja after an appreciation visit made to the office of the SSG, Dr Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, on behalf of the State NYCN, the Council boss thanked the current administration for the continuous belief in the youth of the state.

According to him, Governor Yahaya Bello has shown and proven to be a worthy leader who is ready to take over the leadership of the nation and restore back its glory days.

He added that youth in the state and by extension across the six geopolitical zones in the country has made up their minds to declare the 2023 election a Youth 0’clock movement.

Members of the Council who got appointed listed by the Chairman are; Hon. Isah Emmanuel Ojodunwene as an SSA, Hon. Alonge Israel the immediate past chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Kogi state Chapter, now upgraded from a board member of the Kogi State Youth Commission to a permanent member, Kogi state Utility Infrastructure Management and Compliance Agency.

Also, Amb. Abdullahi Ismaila an immediate past organizing secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria was made a member, of Kogi state Health Insurance Agency, while a host of other students leaders notable among whom is the first female SUG President of KSU now PAAU, Abubakar Zarah who was made a Special Assistant to the Governor.

Ogohi specially thanked the lifter of men and women, the Chief of Staff to the governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku Update for making the appointment of all this youths possible.

He also thanked the untiring efforts of the S.A on Youth and Sports Hon. Jibrin Ahmadu who made the well-being and growth of youth in the state his project.

Similarly, Ogohi also expressed joy on the appointment of Chief Aiyelabowo Adebanji Austin as a Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Cheif Aiyelabowo Adebanji Austin was a one time State PRO with lots of legacies and commitment to the youth constituency.

The Chairman described the appointment as a reiteration of the governor’s commitment to the Youth O’Clock mantra which has always been a foundation of the New Direction Government.

Ogohi stressed that Governor Yahaya Bello has continuously shown to the world that the youth constituency is capable of taking the lead if given the opportunity. This level of trust is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria and selecting always from the National Youth Council of Nigeria which always serve as a breeding ground for young leaders and a step in the right direction.

The Chairman appreciates His Excellency for the love, commitment and trust in the Youth Constituency through the youth council while promising on behalf of the youth not to disappoint, especially in fulfilling the GYB2PYB mandate and also that the Youths will always be available to serve when he beckons.

Like Oliver Twist, he added, there are more and more capable, experienced and capacitated young people in the youth constituency with the capability to serve. Hence, the Youth Council will continue to advocate for more for the youth Constituency.
