Ojogbane Ochola Endorses Kogi East Youth Security Dialogue

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Ojogbane Ochola, has endorsed the forthcoming Kogi East Youth Security Dialogue, describing the initiative as a timely platform for addressing security concerns and strengthening collaboration among young people in the region.

Ochola gave his endorsement when the Vice Chairman (East) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State, Comrade Shaib Jibril Agbas, popularly known as Strategy, paid an advocacy visit to him in Lokoja.

During the visit, Agbas sought the support of stakeholders for the youth-led security dialogue, which is designed to provide an avenue for young people and relevant stakeholders to discuss security challenges confronting Kogi East and explore practical solutions.

Ochola, while receiving the NYCN delegation, expressed support for the initiative and encouraged young people to take an active role in promoting peace, security and development within their communities.

The endorsement is expected to strengthen support for the dialogue and encourage wider participation by youth leaders, community stakeholders and other relevant actors across Kogi State.

Earlier in his remark, the NYCN vice chairman, Comrade Strategy said, the initiative by the NYCN leadership comes amid growing calls for greater youth participation in security awareness, intelligence sharing, community engagement and conflict prevention across the country.

He added that the event is expected to bring together youths and stakeholders from across the senatorial district to deliberate on security issues, community safety and the role of young people in building a more secure and peaceful society.

The Kogi East Youth Security Dialogue is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Igala Unity House in Anyigba.
