Onogwu Muhammed: Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Bello And The Corporate Image of Government

It is obvious that Governments at whatever level has its way of attaining set objectives, and the parameters adopted in reaching those objectives significantly determine the level of success or otherwise.
Nonetheless, it is equally acknowledged that the information apparatus of any Government has a critical role to play in ensuring good governance cum effective information dissemination.
In this regard therefore, the Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Governor, Onogwu Muhammed by virtue of the office, assumed the role with high expectations, especially as the official mouth piece of the State Chief Executive.
The impulse of the duties of the Chief Press Secretary cannot be over emphasize, when viewing from the coordinating role aimed at ensuring the integrity of the Governor and the corporate Image of Kogi State.
A former head InsideStory media firm, Onogwu, Muhammed was appointed as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor following the Vacuum created by the exit of the former, based on this experience and ability to deliver.
It is evident that so far, the Chief Press Secretary had distinguished himself as a digital media guru dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s in service to his principal and state.
As Chief Press Secretary therefore, he has used his media connection in promoting the Governor and the New direction Administration.
Thus, in his almost two years as CPS to the Governor, Galacticus has so far demonstrated great passion, diligence and mobility in the service which has culminated in positively improving the corporate Image of the government. He remained outstanding in media coordination, representation and promotion to the administration of all.
It is no longer news that media experts from across the country had visited the state to have a first hand information on the development strides of Governor Yahaya Bello. Worthy of note is the visit of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists who were in the state on fact finding, and subsequently rated the Governor high in both infrastructure and human development.
All these Juxtaposes the appointment of Onogwu Muhammed who has consistently used his social relationship to advance the course of promoting acknowledge, and the outstanding performance of the Governor.
Outside his official assignment of image making for the Governor, the CPS is also making deliberate efforts to promote sporting activities across the state with the aim of strengthening unity and cohesion in line with the mind set of his principal, Governor Yahaya Bello.
No doubt, any leader at whatever level must strive to make indelible marks on the sand of time, which is one of the ideals of the CPS, Onogwu Muhammed.
Like they say; the reward for hard work is more work. I believe that the numerous accolades that Onogwu continues to receive on the job are all being converted to the needed motivation which accounts for the numerous innovation we see from his stables every day.
