Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has lauded the impact that Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Edward Onoja has had on the recent political landscape.

A statement signed by the Commissioner’s media office described Chief Onoja who is celebrating his 46th birthday as an enigma with a touch of understanding of the times.

According to the Statement, the Commissioner thanked God for the life of the Deputy Governor and his family and then wished him a happy celebration.

He said the state and the current government was glad to have Onoja as one of the anchors of the administration’s policies, stating that it has galvanised the citizens, especially the youths, towards contributing to Kogi’s growth in all spheres of life.

The Commissioner, while praying for continued divine guidance and progress for Onoja, enjoined citizens of the state to also put the celebrant in their prayers for divine grace upon his life on this auspicious occasion.

“To me, His Excellency, Chief Edward Onoja the Deputy Governor, is a man of the people. He is someone who we all celebrate because it is a good feeling to be in the same political circles as him.

“My prayer is for God to continue to preserve him and his family. I will be speaking the mind of my Boss and Political Mentor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello if I also describe Chief Onoja as an outstanding leader and mentor to many in this new direction government.

“I therefore wish him long life, prosperity, all – round growth, and good health as he pilots the affairs of the state as the number two man to our dynamic Governor.”
