PAAU Management Congratulates Kogi on 35th Anniversary, Commends Ododo

The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has congratulated the Kogi State Government and people of the state on the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation.

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, conveyed the congratulatory message on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students of the institution.

Prof. Usman described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on Kogi State’s journey since its creation, celebrate its achievements and renew commitment to its continued development.

He noted that Kogi State remains endowed with human capital, cultural diversity and natural resources, describing the state as a confluence of peoples and possibilities.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for its focus on infrastructural development, human capital development, fiscal discipline and institutional strengthening.

According to him, the university particularly appreciates the administration’s support for education and tertiary institutions across the state, saying the assistance has contributed to an enabling environment for teaching, learning, research and innovation at PAAU.

“His administration’s support for education and tertiary institutions across the state is commendable, and Prince Abubakar Audu University appreciates the enabling environment provided for teaching, learning, research and innovation,” he said.

Prof. Usman acknowledged the challenges encountered by the state over the years but said Kogi had remained strong and united while making progress across several areas.

He expressed optimism that the state would continue to advance under effective leadership and urged continued commitment to democracy, good governance and shared prosperity.

The Vice-Chancellor also prayed for wisdom for the state’s leaders and guidance for the present administration as it builds on what he described as gains already recorded.

He reiterated the university’s congratulations to Governor Ododo and the people of Kogi State on the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation.
