Kogi @35: KSCOE Technical Mopa Commends Ododo’s Support for Technical Education

The Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, has felicitated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the people of Kogi State on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state.

The Provost of the college, Prof. Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, who conveyed the institution’s message on behalf of its Governing Council, Management, staff and students, described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the state’s development.

Prof. Ibrahim said the 35-year journey had been marked by unity, resilience, diversity and collective progress, noting that the strength of Kogi State lies in its people and the cultural heritage shared by its communities.

The Provost particularly commended Governor Ododo for what he described as his administration’s commitment to the education sector, with emphasis on technical and vocational education.

According to him, the administration’s interest in skills acquisition and practical education is important to equipping young people with relevant skills and preparing them for self-reliance, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

He also appreciated the state government’s support for institutions such as the Kogi State College of Education (Technical), Mopa, stressing that investment in technical and vocational education remains critical to developing human capital and strengthening the state’s future economic prospects.

Prof. Ibrahim further extended his goodwill to Governor Ododo, Deputy Governor Elder Joel Oyibo Salifu and the people of Kogi State, wishing them continued peace, progress and prosperity.

He expressed confidence in a brighter future for Kogi State as the Confluence State marks its 35th anniversary.
