… ‘She lied against us’- Sister”

The Kogi Social media space have been awash lately with commentaries on the alleged harassment of one ‘Queen Nina’ (Facebook name) (also known as Lizy), by the Kogi State Commissioner for water resources, honorable Abdulmumin Danga.

In series of posts and videos made online by the said Queen Nina, she alleged the commissioner of harassing her with thugs and policemen over a post she made about him on Facebook. A post which insinuated that the Commissioner abandoned his family members, especially his younger sister with the Facebook name Dc Adoke Leash. (real name Immu Adoke)

She claimed to have been forced to make a confessional statement debunking her earlier post, and a video of her unclad was taken.

However, the story took a dramatic twist when the said DC Adoke Lesh, sister to the Commissioner made a video debunking Queen Nina’s claims.

Lesh said Nina was a friend with records of lying and blackmail, attributes which she endured and tried to correct for long.

In a video made in Ebira language that have also gone viral, Lesh described all the allegations of assault on the Commissioner as false, and asked people to discountenance her claims.

She said: “Nina with all my family have done for you, you had the guts to peddle this kind of falsehood against my family?

“Honorable Danga is a loving man who is kind to everyone. You made a false post about him and he kindly invited us to Lokoja to know why, after realizing the error in your post, you willingly apologized, you were the one who insisted on doing a video of it to prove that you weren’t forced to. Why would you go behind to say that you were harassed?” she queried.

Lesh said the Commissioner gave them transport money back to Okene. She later shared a live video made by Nina on their way from Lokoja and asked if someone who was battered as she claimed still had the time to “slay” like she did in the video. (The video has since been removed from Queen Nina’s Facebook wall.

To investigate further, our reporters put a call across to Mr. Abdulmumin Danga for his side of the story.

Hon. Danga who described the situation as a mere publicity stunt said Nina had allowed herself to be influenced by the opposition to peddle falsehood against him.

“I cannot do such a thing over a mere Facebook post, my attention was drawn to her post and i called my sister to confirm if they had a hand in it, they denied any knowledge of it and even apologized. Nina too apologized and said that it was an innocent post which was misconstrued.

“I told her to take the apology to Facebook since that’s where it emanated, and she did. I gave her and her son money and they went back, only to hear that she alleged me of harassing her. I can never do such. In fact that was my first time of meeting her.

“she did the confessional video out of freewill and remorse, unlike the second video where someone was instructing her on what to say, an indication that she was actually being used”.

“This is a mere publicity stunt which some opposition elements are already latching on to gain cheap publicity.

“Go through her posts, the videos and those of my sister, and the category of people that are urging her on, you will understand what i am saying”. Danga concluded.

Those who followed the story said the moment Queen Nina came up the story of assault, she quickly deleted posts and videos she made debunking the allegations against the Commissioner, probably to cover her tracks.
