Reference hospital Okene to collaborate with Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja for optimum service delivery

In the quest to place the Reference hospital, Okene on the pedestal of delivering optimal health care to the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in large, the new CMD of Reference hospital, Okene, Prof Solomon Avidime met with his counterpart in the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja (FTH) formally federal medical center, to officially collaborate efforts in making Reference hospital Okene what it should be, inorder to give best service.

Prof. Solomon Avidime who hinted the CMD of FTH Lokoja, stated that the hospital can boast of high standard state of the art facilities which all hospitals in Kogi State can take advantage of. He pointed out that though the new hospital is fully equipped to take off, there is need for adequate human resource to man the various units, departments and facilities professionally inorder to give the best espected of the edifice. For this reason, he came to discuss possible ways in which the two health institutions can collaborate for mutual advantage.

The CMD of the federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja, Dr olatunde Alabi together with Dr Bernard Ododo Itopa ( Director of Clinical Service FTHL ) and former NMA chairman Dr Zubair who recieved the new CMD Reference hospital Okene warmly, said they are happy to have Prof Avidime with them. The FTH CMD express his gratitude to the state government led by Gov Yahaya Bello for finding it Worthy to add to the health delivery structures of the state by building several ultramodern hospitals accross the state and placing a world class standard Reference hospital among them with state of the art facilities. He also stated that the reputation of the new CMD precedes him as a leader and scholar in the medical field and will be glad to collaborate with him in placing Reference hospital Okene where it belongs in the world map of health delivery.
