Seat of Wisdom Institute celebrates appointment of Yabagi as CPS to Kogi Assembly
The management of one of the newest educational institution in Kogi State, the Seat of Wisdom Model Academy, has congratulated the appointment of Yabagi Mohammed as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly.
In a letter signed by the founding proprietor of the institute, Mr Jeremiah Ocheme, the school expressed confidence in the ability of the CPS to ensure professionalism and effective reputation management for the speaker.
The letter charged the CPS to put the professional interest of the newsroom as a priority and allow it to always guide his conduct, stressing that the eyes of colleague journalists would be on him and hoped that he succeeds in his assignment.
The letter read in part, “I write to send you the warmest congratulations on behalf of the management, staff and
pupils of Seat Of Wisdom Model Academy, SOWMAC-Efakpa Imane,Olamaboro
Local Government on your well deserved appointment.
“Your choice as CPS was a wise and very strategic one, coming at this time when the people of Kogi State are in dire need of solid legislative activities that will better their lot. A weak media team will definitely make the activities of the lawmakers inefficient
and less productive.
“Therefore, having you on ground as CPS will definitely put the speaker and the assembly on a new pedestal of responsible public perception.
“While I know that a lot of Public relations and reputation management strategies are required of you to keep your working going, I appeal to you not to forget those newsroom ethics, professionalism and values that have guided you all these while.
“I am very confident that you have all the required credentials,capacity, news and media
orientations as well as connections, coupled with 21st century professional experiences
to make your work easy. I hope to see you make a difference and set standards that those after you may find very difficult to beat.
“While I congratulate on behalf of the school, please always ensure that you put the
professional interest of the newsroom where you are coming from as priority and that
should always guide your conduct.
