Security: Restrictions of Movement to Continue in Sarkin Noma, Felele Communities

In a bid to bolster security operations, authorities have announced the continuation of restrictions on movement in the Sarkin Noma and Felele communities of Lokoja local Government area. The decision comes amidst efforts to quell unrest and ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas.

This decision was made known shortly after a security meeting to evaluate the progress of the Joint Security Operations commissioned by the Lokoja Local Government’s Transition Committee Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu to flush out criminal elements in Sarkin Noma, Felele, Crusher held on Wednesday.

The council Transition Committee Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Egamana who chaired the meeting underscored the importance of the engagement in shaping the next line of action. He commended the resolute security personnel for the tireless effort and professionalism.

“The reports and feedback from the communities are all positive and encouraging. The Chairman has asked me to extend his appreciation to both the security agents and residents of the affected communities”, he added.

Hon. Egamana appealed to residents to continue to cooperate with security personels and provide timely information using the distress numbers made available to them.

The Dean of Students Affairs, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Abdullahi Musa Yusuf who spoke on behalf of the University commended the Chairman for the bold step, noting that the students communities has reported remarkable improvement in security.

The meeting resolved that the Security operations is in the best interest of everyone concerned hence the need for it to continue.

Other stakeholders present included the DPO “B” Division, Felele, Representatives of various Communities, Vigilante and Hunters.
