Special Message On My Birthday »

First and foremost, I give all glory to God our creator and sustainer of life, for giving me life and good health.

I am indebted to Him because it has pleased Him to make me see another year. This birthday is the first in my life as the Executive Chairman of the good people of Ibaji Local Government. I go on my knees to adore My Father in heaven. Ójó Chamachaala, odu wé ki nele.

I use this moment and avenue to salute the resilience, confidence and determination of the people of my primary constituency, Ibaji. We are reputed globally for hard work, sincerity, trustworthiness and doggedness. A typical Ibaji man does not speak from both sides of the mouth and delight in evil. For these highly edifying appellations, I am proud to be an Ibaji and ‘prouder’ of my people.

Ibaji eee! On this occasion of my birthday, I candidly appreciate you all for your support, kind words, patient disposition and continued trust in this government. I urge you to keep the flag flying. Ibaji will get to the destination of our dream.

Yes, we have one challenge or the other seeking government intervention or show of commitment which may not come as quickly as expected. We should keep the faith and believe that the present administration of Kogi State under the able leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy Chief Edward David Onoja means well for Ibaji. I say this with sufficient evidences to adduce that never in the chronicle of Kogi State have we had the kind of key positions we now enjoy under the present government.

Under Alhaji Yahaya Bello during his first term, we had a Deputy Governor. Towards the last lap, we had the coveted position of the Director General Protocol. In the second term ongoing, we for the first time got the positions of Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources and that of Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology.

We are indeed favoured as a reward for our solid stance for His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello. As we appreciate God and the government for these opportunities, we also give hope to our people that government is determined to do more for Ibaji.

I ask my Ibaji brothers and sisters not to despair but to continually register their unalloyed support for His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja. At this time of security issues in many parts of Nigeria, we should be very conscious and alert at all times. God will help us.

At this juncture, I profusely appreciate the Executive Governor of Kogi State and Leader of our great party, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for deeming me worthy first of appointment as the Local Government Administrator and later the support that culminated in my election. Perhaps, I would not be an elected chairman if I was not saddled with the responsibility of an administrator. It was a moment of test of ability to deliver, and to the glory of God, I did not disappoint. As I thank your Excellency, I stand on the solid commitment that we will all work together for the actualisation of the Presidency of Yahaya Bello come 2023. My word is my bond, Your Excellency.

I thank the Ibaji Local Government Executive and Legislative Councils. I appreciate my team of Senior Special Assistants and the leadership of our party, the APC. I thank my best half, my wife, and our kids, for standing tall in all circumstances. Let me appreciate the traditional institution under HRH Ajofe John Egwemi for not wavering in the face of challenges.

Once again, I thank you all. As I celebrate my birthday, I also pray that celebration will not depart from your territories.
