Stakeholders in Kogi Central; tradition rulers, elders, youth and women groups give Governor Bello’s second term bid nod

Traditional Rulers from all the five Local Government Areas in Kogi Central Senatorial District, have jointly given the nod to the second term bid of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

They also collectively lauded his numerous achievements, top of which were security, infrastructures and Youth empowerment.

They made this Known yesterday, Monday, at the Government House in Lokoja in a courtesy and solidarity visit to the governor.

The delegation of traditional rulers from the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim led by the Ohi of Okengwe, HRH Alh Yusuf Yakub were joined by women Associations, youth leaders, market women and others from the 57 wards in Ebiraland to applaud the Governor and pledge their total support for his re election.

In their separate remarks, the group confirmed that the security strategies of Governor Yahaya Bello have doused previously experienced threats to lives and properties within the region and was deserving of their support to consolidate on this achievement.

The traditional rulers also mentioned numerous projects facilitated and implemented by the Governor Bello led administration in the State which they all affirmed have impacted the lives of the citizens in the region.

Governor Bello in his response while speaking with newsmen said that the event was the coming together of traditional rulers, women, youths and other groups from the central region of the State in support of his second term re election.

The governor used the medium to reassure the citizens of the State his pledge not to fail them, stating that the event help reminded the people of where they were coming from, what has been achieved and the intentions of the government going forward.

Governor Bello expressed that his Government intends to build on the successes achieved in the coming years, clear outstanding issues, complete all infrastructures after the completed ones were duly commissioned.

The Governor also stated that his second term would largely focus on areas of human capital developments, which he believed would bring progress to the State.
