… calls on opponent to join hands to unite, build state

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has affirmed that his victory at the Supreme Court on Monday was a call to more service for the people of the state who had earlier at the 2019 polls entrusted him with the mandate to govern.

Governor Bello also used the medium to declare the Apex Court pronouncement as “no victor no vanquished” calling on all his opponents to join hands with his administration to unite and develop the state since they were all citizens.

Governor Bello made this known while speaking with the press on Monday in response to the Supreme Court Judgement squashing the Appeals of Both Eng. Musa Wada and Natasha Apoti of the People’s Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party challenging the November 2019 gubernatorial polls.

The Governor However noted that the Victory would have being a joyous one but for the loss of the Late Attah of Igala, Dr. Michael Oboni whom he described as a Father and a unifier who had sternly supported his administration and the growth and development of the State.

He mentioned that himself and the people of the state were consoled by the fact that the royal Father lived a life of good legacies which preached unity and oneness in the state a path which his administration would continue to thread upon

He added that his victory at the Supreme Court which was a clear interpretation of the laws was a process which would enable his administration to do more for the people in the area of Security, Health care, Education and other key focus of its blue print.

The Governor stated that the victory was for the youths and young people of the Country who have believed in the leadership capacity of the young person and have supported same vehemently.

The Governor promised that his administration would not disappoint the trust which the people of the state has entrusted in him and his administration for a second term in office.
