Tanker explosion; Dr Ottah condoles Kogi govt, people

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology, Dr Gabriel Ottah, has expressed shock and sadness at the loss of lives following the explosion of a prtrol-laden tanker at Felele in Lokoja yesterday. Dr Ottah gave the indication after confirming the news of the accident.

He described the incidence as unfortunate. “People left their homes for schools and their daily businesses only to be crushed by a moving vehicle and burnt beyond recognition. This, to be honest, is a sorry sight, and we must speak one voice against such occurrences, most of which are avoidable”, the Special Adviser said amidst tears.

Dr Ottah condoled with the families who lost their loved ones and prayed to God to repose the souls of the deceased.

He particularly sent his sympathy to the Rector, management and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, over the incidence.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Science and Technology used the occasion to assure the people of the State that governor Yahaya Bello has put in place measures that would continually improve the education sector in the state.

He called on the people to cooperate with government and be safety conscious at all times.
