‘Tribunal judgement on Kogi, not in doubt’ – Kogi culture, tourism commissioner

Kogi State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Salifu Isah Idachaba has described the Tribunal Judgement just delivered which affirmed the re – election of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as one that had long been expected.

The Commissioner who spoke with our correspondent at the venue of the judgement in Abuja, noted that the opposition’s case fell flat on its face because the re – election mandate given to the of the duo Governor Bello and Chief Edward Onoja was a divine one.

He said citizens of Kogi State rallied round the ruling APC and gave massive support to the Governor in November 2019 because of his sincere commitment to bettering their lot in his first tenure.

Hon Idachaba who stressed that citizens of Kogi State had never been more United than they are under Governor Bello and his deputy, expressed gratitude to the nation’s legal system for looking at the case on sound reasoning.

The Commissioner stressed; “Only a sound and reasonable judicial system such as the one we currently have in the country would be so decisive in the delivery of its judgement on such matter. This is also a testimony that the judicial arm of government is committed to playing crucial role to solidify our democratic process.

“Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja have provided the people with a government they can be proud of and I am sure this judgement has further proven to the opposition and critics of the government that this administration was divinely orchestrated.”

He therefore congratulated the entire members of the cabinet and called on the people to continue to pray for the success of the government so that more dividends of democracy can be enjoyed in all parts of the state.
