‘We are proud of our sons, Gov Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja’ – Olamaboro Council of traditional rulers say as they praise infrastructural upliftment in the area

The council of traditional rulers in Olamaboro Local Government of Kogi State has applauded the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Chief of Staff Edward Onoja in their efforts to ensure infrastructural development in the area.

They gave the commendation today, Tuesday when the Chief of Staff paid a working/Sallah visit to the palace of Eje of Olamaboro, HRH Chief Simeon Ujah in Okpo.

The Eje, in his address at the occasion praised the present administration in the state for its efforts to ensure all round development in Olamaboro and the entire Igalaland, saying the area had never had it so good in the past.

He lauded the pragmatic efforts of the administration in the areas of security, roads, health, welfare of titled chiefs, empowerment and others, stressing that their resolve to work closely with the duo was not in anyway regrettable.

The Eje highlighted some other needs of the people of the area to include the take off of of financial institutions already approved for the area, especially the Bank of Agriculture that was recently approved by the Federal Government, the need to also sight a campus of the National Open Unity of Nigeria in the area among others.

Chief Ujah, who further expressed pride of the traditional rulers for the overwhelming strides of the administration pledged their loyalty and commitment to the programmes and policies of the government, noting that they had brought great progress to the people.

He prayed God to continue to bless them and uplift their administration even as he asked for more divine wisdom for them to continue to oversee the affairs of the people of the state in the right direction.

The Chief of Staff, Hon Onoja had expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers and the entire people of the Local Government for their overwhelming support to the administration and promised never to fail them.

He recalled some of the efforts of the state in ensuring all-round development in Igalaland and the Local Government in particular, saying his boss, the Governor is a man that does not see any form of divide among the citizens of the state, hence his commitment to equitably distribute the state resources.

Hon Onoja who called on the traditional rulers to make practical efforts to assist government in maintaining the infrastructure already provided said without maintenance the infrastructure could deteriorate.

He emphasised that the present administration gives high priority to security, education, health and others, noting that it is committed to consolidating on its achievements so far.

Other chiefs who bared their minds at the meeting also praised the Governor and the chief of staff for their demonstration of love to the people of the area and pledged their loyalty at all times.
