The APC National Secretariat Press Corps says it found Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello a distinguished party man who has contributed to the growth of the APC at both state and national levels hence their decision to confer Award of Excellence on him.

Presenting the Award to the governor on Wednesday, the APC National Vice Chairman, North Central, Mr Suleiman Wambai described Governor Bello as a man that has distinguished himself within the party’s Governors Forum.

The Vice Chairman extolled Governor Bello on good governance in the area of security, infrastructure, human capital development among other sectors.

Mr Wambai who said the secretariat was not known for giving awards to individuals or groups stated that Governor Bello’s contributions in driving the party’s affairs and the development his administration has recorded were too obvious to be ignored, hence deserving of commendation.

The governor in his response said the award would only act as a catalyst to speed up implementation of his administration’s policies and programmes for the interest of Kogi people.

Governor who reiterated his commitment to the cause of liberating the state and setting it on the path of progress and development promised that the people of the state would not regret returning him for another term.
