Greets Yagba West, Kogi State indigenes in the New Month…

The Senior Special Assistant on Security matters in Yagba West Local Government, Tade Oshaloto has received commendation over the improvement of security of the local government and its environ.

The commendation came on the heels of the recovery of a Honda Accord salon car belonging to one Hon Davies Sunday Biaye from Odo-Eri.

Armed bandits recently stormed the residence of Hon Biaye demanding for cash and the victim being unable to give them money was ordered to release his car to them.

The security apparatus in Yagba West LGA was promptly alerted and the vehicle was trailed and intercepted by the vigilante at a border community in the local government while the vehicle and one of the suspected bandits have been handed over to the police.

On his part, the SSA credited the success of his various security operations to the invaluable support of the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the cooperation and commitment to duty of the security operatives in the local government.

He urged the security agencies in the local government to continue synergize for effective security.

Below is full text of the New Month wishes by Hon Tade Oshaloto to Yagba West and Kogi State people:

I wish the good people of Yagba West and everyone across our Confluence State a blessed New Month.

The Lord is our anchor and we trust Him for grace to live continually at peace in our neighborhoods. As SSA Security in charge of our beloved Local Government, whose sole responsibility is to ensure peace within and across our vast communities, I restate that I am counting on our cooperation to sustain the peace that we are enjoying. His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State has done us well by providing us with the required security architecture – men and machine.

I believe it is up to us to complement this gesture by cooperating with the security agencies. While we are asleep, our men in uniforms are out there warding off men of the underworld.

We are doing are best to ensure that our communities and indeed His Excellency are not let down. I have directed our security outfits to stand firm, and be on their toes. Much more than this, I have encouraged them to do more in earning and sustaining public trust. Thankfully, we have a crop of some of the finest officers serving in Yagba West.

The traditional council, the religious community, business leaders and the media have all been helpful in maintaining our peace and quiet. May God bless you sirs and madams.

It is my hope that we will sustain this progress. Of course, we would NOT want to undermine the resolve of His Excellency on security.

Our individual families being the basic units of our society deserves much credits. No doubts, it is because the right values are being taught in most homes that we are able to manage our security this successfully. May God continue to strengthen and provide for our families in Jesus name.

I urge us to always remember that it is our duty to provide relevant security information to us. This will enable us to be more proactive in our approach. As it is said; if you see something, say something. Happy New Month once again, Yagba West.
