Inauguration: Inauguration: NANS/JCC in Kogi Congratulates Gov Bello, Onoja
The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (NANS/JCC) in Kogi State under the leadership of Comrade Otaru Abdulhakeem has congratulated the state Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja over their inauguration for a second term.
The Chairman of the body made the statement in an interview with our reporter in Lokoja while reacting to the development.
He said the students leadership in the state and the students themselves are very excited about the inauguration following their deserved victory in the last election, noting that they have never had it so good in the history of the state.
To Comrade Abdulhakeem, the students went out in their large numbers to canvass for and voted massively for the APC in the last governorship election because of their belief in the leadership philosophy of Governor Bello and Chief Onoja who have demonstrated genuine love for the youth and the students.
He said leadership by the youth and for the youth was new to many, saying the administration has opened the eyes of the public to what the young ones were capable of if given the opportunity to serve.
The students leader then prayed God to give the administration the wherewithal to pilot the affairs of Kogi State to an enviable height to attain all round development and uncommon feat.
He used the opportunity to appeal to government to extend its support to the leadership of the body by continuously ensuring availability of an enabling academic environment for all students and solicited that government should also empower them to carry out awareness programmes, sensitization among their colleagues and ensure their involvement in governance.
