A front line aspirant for the position of Chairman for Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon Ananyi Shadrach Lamidi has described the verdict of the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja as one that has restored people’s confidence in the country’s judiciary.

The political heavyweight made this known while speaking to journalists shortly after the judgement and congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja for the victory.

He said the nod by the tribunal was an affirmation that the state was in safe hands and that the New Direction government, which has been divinely installed for Kogites, remains on track to deliver on its mandate.

Hon Shadrach called on citizens of the state, especially the people of Ajaokuta LGA to rally round the Governor and his wonderful agenda that would promote the image of the state and develop all sectors.

To him, the ruling is a confirmation both of the perfect will of God and of the irrefutable choice of kogi people, stressing that it also reinforced the confidence people have in the Yahaya Bello government.

He said Kogi people voted overwhelmingly for the Governor’s re – election and that it would have been a travesty for the tribunal to have ruled otherwise because if comes to it, the Governor would beat his contenders again irrespective of how many times the poll is repeated.

According to Hon Shadrach its time for Kogi people from all political parties and all ethnic groups to rise and support the Governor for him to succeed in his agenda of growth and emancipation.
