Kogi Central NYCN forum thanks Chief Abdulkarim Asuku for councillorship slot for member; donates large sum for campaigns

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Kogi Central has expressed gratitude to the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Pharm Abdulkarim Asuku over the decision of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to make the Okene Council Auditor, Comrade Suleiman Baba Onivo councillorship candidate for Bariki Ward.

In that regard, the forum has donated huge sum to support the campaign efforts of the candidate, and prayed he succeeds at the December 12th Local Government Elections in Kogi State.

A statement by the Chairman of the forum, Comrade Isah Babangida Onimisi said it is not lost on the forum that the decision came about as a result of the good words put in by Pharm Asuku as a result of the capacity shown by Comrade Onivo.

The Chairman who is also the NYCN Coordinator for Okene Local Government expressed confidence in the ability of the candidate to justify the confidence reposed in him by the political leadership in the area.

According to the statement, the outgoing Auditor has been an asset committed to public service, stressing that he would bring his experience to bear on the Ward and be a bridge between the government in the state and the Local Government Area.

“We are grateful for this honour done our member who is nothing but exceptional. It is in that regard that we have donated the sum of fifty thousand Naira to aid his campaign.

“The action of the Chief of Staff has shown he is a man for the youth. We are not surprised because as a youth himself, he has our best interest in his heart. This is a new page in our continued partnership with Pharm Asuku and the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

“We are grateful indeed!”
